A Christans questions part two
His questions
Thanks for getting back. I know we are not going to agree on the death and resurrection of Jesus and you know that I do not agree that worshiping Jesus is polytheism - since the Father and Jesus are one.
In John 20 Thomas who like you didn't believe in the resurrection met the resurrcted Jesus. He then got on his knees and declared Jesus to be "My Lord and my God!" Jesus' reply was not - "Wait on there Thomas - you are falling out of the frying pan of disbelieve into the fire of herresy!" No it was "How slow you are to believe". Jesus accepted the ultimate worship - the declaration of "My Lord and my God!" Unless Jesus is God then Jesus could not even be considered as a prophet.
I was interested that you state that Christianity has 'no more importance' because it has been rejected by Western Societies. Western societies have rejected religion and God per se - not just Christianity - so the Muslim faith is in the same boat in this one. Your argument suggests that if it has been rejected by one particular culture then this in some way disproves Christianity as being true. In fact there are more people who profess to be Christians in the world (2.1 billion) then there are Muslim (1.5 billion). [Christianity in the largest populated country in the world (China) is growing fast]. This means that more people in the world have rejected the Muslim faith than Christianity.
However, this still proves nothing: Western culture have accepted homosexuality as being acceptable - this doesn't make its attitude true!
Thank you for your very interesting point about how Jesus and the Prophets prayed - I think laying prostrate on the ground is a good way of praying, (there is a real reverence in this!) but not the only way. In John 17 v1 for example, Jesus 'looked toward heaven and prayed'.
Peace
Our response
Dear Brother
In Islam the understanding of God makes logical sense which is something that cannot be found in Christanity, as it illogical on every level, please let me explain.
In Islam,
a) God is uncreated
b) is all powerful
c) everything is in need of him and he needs nothing
d) there is nothing like God in existance
e) it is in line with the belief of all the Prophets (peace be upon him)
In Christanity You say that God and Jesus are one but at the end of your email you said that Jesus looked to the heavens and supplicated. John 17 v1 for example, Jesus 'looked toward heaven and prayed'.
Now if they are one why would he feel the need to look up and supplicate? This is illogical because if I have a pain in my foot then the foot does tell me that I need to examine the pain, I know straight away. This disproved that they are one being.
The second commandment states not to make and idol of God now you are saying that they are one, so the Christan belief negates God's own law!
Third, you belief that God needed the following:
a) a woman to bear part of him,
b) that he had an adolensence,
c) he needs to eat
d) he needs to go to toilet
e) he needs to wash his body
f) he needs to comb his hair
So you belief that this is your God? This sounds like a human being NOT GOD.
Most Christans that I have met do not look seriously or logically at their religion it is blind belief without the necessary back up of logic.
Many Christan preists have written essays on how the Muslim religion has a great number of worshippers in their congrejations like on the friday prayer. Some have said that they wished they had as many worshippers as the Muslims do on friday. Nevermind the amount of worshippers on the Eid prayers.
Christans count athiests as part of their religion as well, which no other religion do. Most people in the Uk, US and Europe are athiests who do not conform to any religion.
As for Islam it contines to grow yearly as more people come into Islam and of course the birth rates play a part in this. So even if you accept that the smaller number is wrong and the larger number is right, then Jesus himself was wrong because he has about 12 followers in his lifetime and most people were pagans.
There are very few Christans who are honest with me when debating even when they are presented with these facts which to any inteligent thinking person would accept straight away.
Peace out

Jesus (upon him peace) lived like a Jew and refuted the Trinity
Jesus (upon him peace) was called king of the Jews(Mathew 23.38), Mark 16, 26. Why? If was living differently then he would've called something else. This also proves he had the same beliefs of them. Now compare this to the pauls version which has no place for the law.
He was living like a Jew, so this confirms what came before. It was Paul who changed Christianity to what it is today, after the forcing of the trinity onto the people by the roman emperor Constantine.
Jesus (upon him peace) spoke in Aramaic and he said, "Peace be onto you." Mathew 24.36. Peace means salam in Arabic and to you means alikum.
So what was he saying? Salam alikum, the Muslim greeting the same greeting that Adam (upon him peace) gave then angels.
Consider this, If you loved someone for what they don't have then you find out he doesn't have that thing does that mean your love is lost? Yes of course you love him for what he does not have so what do you think he thinks of you?
So the muslim have more right to Jesus (upon him peace) that the Christans because love him for who he is.
And to rebut your first line:
Mathew 4, 10, "Then Jesus said to him... Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God , and him alone shalt thou serve."
So this proves that there is one God and no sons him alone shall you serve.
Mathew 19, 18, "keep the commandments."
“If you want to enter life, obey the commandments.” (Matthew 19:17, also see Mark 10:19).
He also said that Jesus is the servant of that God, for we read in Acts: “The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus.” (Acts 3:13). This confirms his belief in what came before and what will be so anyone believing in the Trinity is believing something other that what Jesus himself believed.
Mark 16.34 Jesus cried in a loud voice, "E-loI, E-loI La ma sa-bach'tha-ni" Which is, "My God, My God why have you forsaken me!"
If he was part of the same being then why would he call out like he was calling to someone other than himself. Answer they are not the same. Also E-LoI means my god if you take out my then it means God from the same word Allah.
You also claim he turned a river into wine, why would he when he said, "I will not drink henceforth from this wine, until that day when I drink it new with you." Mathew 26.29 He means here that he will drink it only when he is in paradise not whilst on earth.
Jesus said, "The father is greater than I." John 14.28. This negates similarity - so they are not the same - So Jesus cannot be divine because they are not the same.
Luke 16.13. "No servant can serve two masters for either he will hate the one , and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot God and Mammon." This again proves that there are no godlike being because this would mean that you would become confused.
Why would a prophet commit a sin for? Muslims believe that Jesus is sinless and you believe him to be sinful. This is another reason why the muslim belief is sound and safe.

Jesus violent verses?
"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn "a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law--a man's enemies will be the members of his own household." (Matthew 10:34-36)
"If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple." (Luke 14:26)
"But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one." (Luke 22:36 )
"Perhaps people think that I have come to cast peace upon the world. They do not know that I have come to cast conflicts upon the earth: fire, sword, war. For there will be five in a house: there'll be three against two and two against three, father against son and son against father, and they will stand alone."
gospel of Thomas 16
Oh and its part of a muslims belief that he believes in the Prophethood of Jesus upon him peace.

Jesus (upon him peace) 8
Are you rejecting other prophets here? because if you are then you are denying the old and the new testaments. If you are rejecting other prophets is that because they did not believe in the trinity and they didn't preach it?
Are you not aware of the Christan martyrs who were massacred in the most brutal way by the romans. Are you saying their belief is incomplete? That they are going to hell because they don't believe in the trinity?
How do you know it was Jesus? Did have a beard? wear sandles? Like Muslims do now?
Jesus said, "the father is greater than I" Meaning that they are not the same or similar which negates his divinity.
He also would pray to God and look towards the heavens, why would he need to do that if he was a god? all he would have to do is look inside himself!
Don't you see how flawed this all is? How God can never enter the world. Please let me explain. created things need time and space to be and God is uncreated and needs neither time or space to be anywhere. so according to you god has forced time and space onto himself and entered the earth!
Don't you know how ridiculous this sounds how can this be? The answer is this is not monethiesm and against Gods own commandments. Why would he send law down and then change it? It does not make any sense.
We are not talking about any fool like me here we are talking about the creator of the known and unknown universe here.
So you must now conclude this is impossible

Jesus 7
You see the problem here is about how we understand God. I believe that God is all powerful and does not have any weak attributes. Also Muslims believe that God is uncreated.
So with these principles already in place, why would god need to come in the form of a man into the world.
You see an uncreated thing cannot follow rules of something thats created. If you refute this then then in your words you are bring God to the level of a human. Which is impossible when you think about it rationally.
God spoke to Moses (upon him peace) directly and this is not that he came into the created world and spoke. Gods words there were for Moses and no one else. You see you are trying to understand things using unsound logic.
God doesn't enter spirits into people, you can enter faith but if you believe this then its not something that the previous prophets. As all the previous prophets believed in God without description so if this is correct then trinity is wrong because its a pagan concept and got nothing to do with God.
Also please respond to the questions that I have posed you because all you are doing now is trying to kill me with kindess.

Jesus in Islam 4
If Jesus (upon him peace) was what you say he was, he ate, slept, bled, cried and did all other normal things that a human does. How could he be anything else but human?
How can a God be in need?
Jesus said in the bible, "How can a slave have two masters?"
Meida 5.116 "And when Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Didst thou say unto mankind: Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah? he saith: Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I used to say it, then Thou knewest it. Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I know not what is in Thy Mind. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower of Things Hidden?"
Jesus was a practicing Jew and did not make much changed to the sacred law. Christians believe that God is three then why is none of the Prophets claimed this, surely if they where prophets shouldn't they know? Why is it that the trinity wasn’t part of christan theology until the roman emperor Constantine forced it upon the people? Why is that many pagan symbols where adopted into Christianity, they used to worship on a Saturday then changed it to Sunday, the day of the sun. The pagan deity called Baal was believed to be born on the 25th, he was the son of the sun.
Also in the persian mythriac religion the son of god was sent to cleanse the world of sin, this what the bible says. Why is that that Jesus didn not change the religion as much as others did yet he has the right to do so.
Its Christianity that doesn’t agree with Jesus (upon him peace) not the other way round.

Sacrificial lamb
This idea of sacrificial lamb comes from the pagan deity Mythra, he was known as the sacrifice that would bring the world out of sin. Yet this could any number of pagan deity's such as Baal, who is was believed was the son of the sun, he was born on December 25th, the exact time of the winter solstice and was killed for all our sins. Early christains used to worship on saturday and then it was changed to sun-day, the day of the sun!
The verses he has quoted is prove for sacrifice which was animal sacrifice not a human one. We believe that Jesus is in heaven and will return to kill the dajjal or anti-christ.
I'd advise you check out Ahmed deedats work, you can view it here, you'll have to scroll and join then you can view the video is Jesus a god?

Jesus in the Quran 3
Sorry about this I say this in the Quran yesterday and I wanted to tell you about it.
If the Jesus (upon him peace) is mentioned in the Quran as Jesus the son of Mary (upon them both peace) and he is also mentioned as al-Messhiah or the Messiah son of Mary.
Also the anti-christ is mentioned in hadith not in the Quran as Messhiah ad-Dajjal or the Messhain imposter. Which you may now be able to understand this a bit better with what you know from the Christian tradition.

Jesus in Islam 2
It is quite sad to think all the followers of these religions believe in God/Allah. Yet they disagree with each other.
Jesus (upon him peace) was called king of the Jews(Mathew 23.38), Why? If was living differently then he would've called something else. He was living like a Jew, so this confirms what came before. It was Paul who changed Christianity to what it is today, after the forcing of the trinity onto the people by the roman emperor Constantine.

The source is the same but people have changed the direction, its time to put this back together.

Muslim view of the Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him)
Basically its part of faith to accept Jesus (upon him peace) as a Prophet. We also say that he has no share divinity and only God/Allah is divine.
We believe in the miracle of his birth without the means of father.
Al-Imran 3.45 " (And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah)."
"But when Jesus became conscious of their disbelief, he cried: Who will be my helpers in the cause of Allah ? The disciples said: We will be Allah’s helpers. We believe in Allah, and bear thou witness that we have surrendered (unto Him)." 3.52 Al ‘Imrân
"(And remember) when Allah said: O Jesus! Lo! I am gathering thee and causing thee to ascend unto Me, and am cleansing thee of those who disbelieve and am setting those who follow thee above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then unto Me ye will (all) return, and I shall judge between you as to that wherein ye used to differ." Al ‘Imrân 3.55
"Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is."
Al-Imran 3.59
We don't accept that he was crucified; we say he was raised up to Paradise and will return to kill the Antichrist; just before the end of time.
"And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah’s messenger - they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain." Nisa 4.157
We believe in the original revelation of the Injeel but we accept its no longer valid.
Sura Al-maidah 6.46
" And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus son of Mary, confirming the Torah before him and We gave to him the Gospel, wherein is guidance and light, and confirming the Torah before it, as a guidance and an admonition unto the godfearing."
We believe all the miracles he performed were by the permission of God/Allah
" When Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My favour unto thee and unto thy mother; how I strengthened thee with the holy Spirit, so that thou spakest unto mankind in the cradle as in maturity; and how I taught thee the Scripture and Wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and how thou didst shape of clay as it were the likeness of a bird by My permission, and didst blow upon it and it was a bird by My permission, and thou didst heal him who was born blind and the leper by My permission; and how thou didst raise the dead by My permission; and how I restrained the Children of Israel from (harming) thee when thou camest unto them with clear proofs, and those of them who disbelieved exclaimed: This is naught else than mere magic; 6.110 Al-Mâ’idah
"When the disciples said: O Jesus, son of Mary! Is thy Lord able to send down for us a table spread with food from heaven ? He said: Observe your duty to Allah, if ye are true believers." 6.112 Al-Mâ’idah
"Jesus, son of Mary, said: O Allah, Lord of us! Send down for us a table spread with food from heaven, that it may be a feast for us, for the first of us and for the last of us, and a sign from Thee. Give us sustenance, for Thou art the Best of Sustainers." 6.114 Al-Mâ’idah
Divinity is for God/Allah alone
"And when Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Didst thou say unto mankind: Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah ? he saith: Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I used to say it, then Thou knewest it. Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I know not what is in Thy Mind. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower of Things Hidden?" Sura Al-Madiah 6.116
You can search on the website for his name

Jesus (upon him peace) in Islam
Consider this, a cow gives birth to a cow, a chicken gives birth to chick, a dog gives birth to a dog. So how can a woman give birth to a god?
All these verse prove that he is not diety because:
-Jesus talked about God as His God, but God has no God. He talked to God as if they were seperate, if he was part of the same being then why would he need to talk. He could just think.
-Jesus prayed to God instead of to himself. Did Jesus worship himself? How is that possible!!
-Jesus got hungry and thirsty (Matt. 4:2; John 19:28), but God never gets hungry or thirsty (Psalm 50:9-13; Acts 17:25). How can a deity need food? that means he needs something, how can a god be in need? This negates deity.
-Jesus was tempted by the devil (Matt.4:1 & Heb.4:15), but God cannot be tempted (James 1:13). This means that the devil can control god, how can that be correct!
-Jesus learned obedience and grew up into a mature and perfect man (Hebrews 5:9), but God never changes (James 1:17). How can god grow? so was he eternally as a child or as an adult this is cannot be.
-Jesus was born and also died, but God is everlasting.
- The father is greater than I - this means he is not equal or eternal. Negating more facts that he is not a diety
Human sacrifices were banned by God so why would he then change his mind!
We believe that Jesus is in heaven and will return to kill the dajjal or anti-christ.
I'd advise you check out Ahmed deedats work, you can view it here, you'll have to scroll and join then you can view the video is Jesus a god?
Muslims are bound to believe in the books that God/Allah sent to previous prophets. Although we cannot be certain of the content we are can read the texts but we cannot take laws from them. I have read both the old testement and the new one.
During the nicean creed more than 200+ gospels were thrown out including the gospel of Banarbus. If he was a god then everything he said would've been perfect and wouldn't need to be edited would it? Yet there are the apocraphal gospels which cause problems to the belief of trinity.
How can a deity feel pain? when it is supposed to complete and unable to be human?
If he suffered for our sins then he would have to feel pain, right?
Is that why they weren't used?
