Examples of women in Islam

He raised the status of women, when it was very low.

He (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Heaven is below the feet of the mother."

He (peace and blessings of God be upon him) said when asked who was more worthy of companionship, mother or father? He said, "mother".

There was a woman who was known for being mentally unstable, she said that she wanted to speak to him, sometime. He (peace and blessings of God be upon him) said, "Sit on and street that you wish and I will sit with you."
Later she called him and he (peace and blessings of God be upon him) sat with her and listened to her.

During the Battle of Uhud, the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon) was wounded and bleeding heavily. He was preventing his blood from touching the ground when asked why he said, "The angels of wrath will come to these people if my blood touches the floor." A woman who was present in the battle came to his rescue and fought many men, she hamstringed many horsemen. She received several wounds that day and all she wanted to do was protect him. Later after the battle he was carried home and refused to enter his house for treatment until he heard the news that the woman who protected him was well and receiving treatment.

When his daughter would come into his gathering he would stand up, kiss her forehead and hand then sit her where he was sat.

There are so many examples, I am really sorry that I can't give you more.

Accussing women

The Quran states that if a man deliberately accuses a woman of procreating outside marriage, he can be punished up to 80 lashes.

Sura Nur 24.4, "And those who accuse free women then do not bring four witnesses, flog them, (giving) eighty stripes, and do not admit any evidence from them ever; and these it is that are the transgressors."
